I have had the immense luck and joy to have my work, “I Like”, performed by the great AuditivVokal Dresden, conducted by Olaf Katzer. I was stunned to see that, even if, for objective reasons, I could not rehearse with them in person, the performances (multiple!) were so close to what I had imagined.
Being able to have your music performed with such professionalism, versatility and – most importantly – a sense of fun, is such a joy and, also, not as frequent as one might think.
Coming from a country where there are no vocal ensembles specialised in contemporary languages and extended techniques, this experience has been all the more valuable for me. Each voice is a wonder on its own, and together, they sing and breathe as one organism. It has been a privilege. Thank you.
