Das Jahr 2025 hat für uns schmerzliche Einschnitte mit sich gebracht: Die Stadt Dresden hat unsere institutionelle Förderung um über 10 % gekürzt. Für 2026 sieht es noch dramatischer aus: Aufgrund des Haushaltsstopps der Landeshauptstadt Dresden wird unsere institutionelle Förderung um weitere 25% reduziert, also summa summarum um 12.500 Euro. Zusammen mit den steigenden Kosten in allen Bereichen stehen wir vor einer noch nie dagewesenen, existenziellen Bedrohung für unser Ensemble.
The year 2025 has brought painful cuts for us: the City of Dresden has reduced our institutional funding by more than 10%. The outlook for 2026 is even more dramatic: due to the budget freeze imposed by the state capital Dresden, our institutional funding will be reduced by another 25% — a total cut of €12,500. Combined with rising costs in all areas, we are facing an unprecedented, existential threat to our ensemble.
